Daisy Asaeli
Daisy is the daughter of Dyonne Asaeli and James McNeil. She has played basketball for 10 years. She has also participated in track and the superintendent's advisory committee for 6 years, volleyball for 5 years, student council for 4 years, and the principal leadership committee for 2 years. Daisy’s future plans include attending Mizzou. Coach Batchelder will always remember Daisy for someone who put others before herself. Also the time Dani hid in the jersey tub and jumped out and scared Daisy. Luckily we have the video of it :) Her mother will most remember Daisy being on the team that made it to quarterfinals and all of the years playing with her friends. Both her mother and grandma wish for her to be a good person and always remember to love God and love people. Daisy’s favorite basketball memories are the times we beat Ray-Pec, playing heads up on the way to Lebanon, and when Mackenzie got mono last year.

Mackenzie Staats
Mackenzie is the daughter of Curt and Mary Sue Staats. Mackenzie has played basketball for 11 years, including 4 years earning her varsity letter. Mackenzie has also participated in volleyball for 6 years, track, NHS, and DECA for 1 year. Mackenzie’s future plans include to attend Avila University to major in Elementary Education and play volleyball. Coach Batchelder will always remember Mackenzie’s freshmen year when she played her 1st significant minutes against Lee’s Summit West at Lebanon and made two huge baskets to help win the game. Mackenzie’s parents will always remember Coach Batchelder dancing and yelling on the sideline and wondering if he is saying “Back” or “Mac”, seeing Coach Martin giving words of advice and patting her on the back, tracking down Coach Bechtel so we can sign Mac out, Coach Durst doing part of our laundry, seeing the bond develop over the last five year between Mackenzie, Kamryn, Dani, and Daisy, and lastly, the glimmer in Mackenzie’s eyes the moment she first sees us in the stand ready to cheer her on. Mackenzie’s parents wish for her to continue to develop and grow as an athlete, friend, daughter, student, and a woman. Always remember, we are so proud of you and will be cheering you on every step of the way. Mackenzie’s favorite memories are all of the fun times and becoming really good friends with her teammates. She will always remember winning district’s (the 1st in program history) as a freshman and conference as a sophomore. She will also miss arguing and laughing with Daisy…
